Return Policy and Warranty

Smyth Automotive Parts Plus will provide a refund or replace any defective part and most non-defective parts if returned within 30 days the item’s purchase.In order to return an item, it must comply with the following criteria:

  • The item must be in its original packaging
  • The item must be new and unused, nor installed or disassembled in any way
  • The part must be free of any damage due to incorrect installation
  • The item must have all parts, hardware, instructions and original manufacturer’s information.

The following products are not returnable:

  • Custom or special orders
  • Automotive repair manuals
  • Electrical Parts and Components (Such as: ECU’s, Push Button Units, relays, air mass meters, etc…)
  • Items not purchased from Smyth Automotive Parts Plus’ online store
  • Items incorrectly shipped back to Smyth Automotive Parts Plus will not be issued a refund.

Smyth Automotive Parts Plus reserves the right to subject certain items to a 20% restocking fee. If a re-stocking fee will be assessed, you will be notified once you submit your Return Authorization Request.

Core Returns

If you would like to return an item associated with a core return value, please submit your request through our Return Authorization Request form.

Please note:

  • All fluids must be drained from the core
  • The core must be securely wrapped in plastic and sealed
  • Cores must be returned in the packaging used in the shipment of the order sent to you
  • Your core will be inspected to determine if the core is rebuild-able
  • Shipping charges for returning a core are the responsibility of the customer, and are not refundable.

How to Return an Item Purchased from Smythautomotive.com

  • If you wish to make a return for your online purchase, please read over and make sure your item meets the above criteria.
  • If your item qualifies for a return, you will need to complete and submit a Return Authorization Request by logging in to your account and clicking order history. You will see a link labeled Create Return Request. Click here to login.
  • Ship the item back to us with a copy of the return request you create. The items must be returned in the same package in which they were received with no damage. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. C.O.D. shipments are not accepted.
  • Once your return is received by Smyth Automotive Parts Plus, we will conduct an inspection of the return, and verify that your return meets the part return guidelines. If it does, a full refund will be issued, including all applicable sales taxes. The cost of shipping will be credited only in those instances that the return is a result of our error (i.e. we shipped the wrong part by mistake).

Canceling an Order

  • When you place an order online, we immediately begin your order fulfillment. Once a product has shipped from our warehouses, the sale is considered complete.
  • If you change your mind and want to cancel your order after the item has been shipped, simply refuse the delivery of the items. Once we receive the refused product back at our warehouse, your credit card will be credited the full amount minus the shipping. YOU WILL STILL BE CHARGED ALL SHIPPING CHARGES!

Damaged Products

If your order has been damaged during delivery– please create a return request after you login to your account within 24 hours of receipt of your product to begin the return process. We’ll then contact you via email with further instructions on filing your claim.

Labor

We will not refund any labor costs incurred by you or the installer of the products purchased at this Web site.

Guarantee

Smyth Automotive Parts Plus sells parts from only the best manufacturers in the world, and guarantees the workmanship of the products sold. If you have received a defective product, please review the manufacturer’s information included with your new product. If you wish to return it, please review the Return Requirements and create a Return Authorization Request.
